We will hear from Mark Hartman, Chief Sustainability Officer, City of Phoenix and the winner and other top finalists regarding their innovative energy efficient home designs for The City of Phoenix / American Institute of Architects Arizona Sustainable Home Design Competition!
And the Winner is....Marlene Imirzian.

The work balances the practical realities of producing architecture on a budget and our creative and professional approach to give each project the time, talent and consideration it deserves. We believe that the patterns of use and process unique to each project create their own potential for unifying beauty and function, a consideration which is carried through each stage of the project, including research, development, and detailing.

And the Runners up are...
Scott Carson, Scott is a licensed Architect in Arizona, Colorado, Texas and New York. Scott founded and is Co-Chair of the Arizona Chapter of the Custom Residential Architects Network (CRAN) a knowledge community of the AIA. Scott is a principal at PHX Architecture and leads the Residential design studio and directly designs and oversees many of the firms award winning custom homes, with current projects in Utah, Texas and throughout Arizona. Scott grew up in Arizona and received his Master of Architecture from ASU.
Stephen Mogowski is the owner and founder of Desert Skies a RESNET Provider located in Mesa AZ. Desert Skies primarily focuses on high end single family construction but also performs energy testing, inspecting and modeling for production builders and multi-family developments. Stephen holds certifications from the NAHB, Energy Star, EPA Indoor airPlus, RESNET, BPI and others.
Voting was open until October 23rd to select the favored designs from the top 5 finalists who have submitted home designs that have construction costs in line with today's average cost but are 80 percent more efficient to operate!
